The American Classic™ fire helmet combines the look of a traditional-
style helmet with the lighter weight and high-performance protection of
it's modern-style counterparts.

American Classic™ exclusive features:

Low profile shell and TherMax™ composite technology. The American Classic™ has a durable, fiberglass shell designed with a lower profile than most traditional- style helmets. This creates two important comfort advantages: reduced weight and a low center of gravity. Reduced weight means less stress. The lower center of gravity allows the helmet to rest more naturally on the head. This means a lot less wobble than helmets with a high center of gravity.

The fiberglass shell employs exclusive TherMax™ composite technology to ensure thermal protection, light weight, and structural integrity of the entire shell. This technology is analogous to the heat reflecting tiles NASA uses on the space shuttle. Like those tiles, it reflects heat without significantly adding weight.

The American Classic™ weighs just a few ounces more than most of it's non-traditional, modern style cousins. Now you don't have to sacrifice comfort for style.
