HALOTRON™ FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

What are Halotron Fire Extinguishers?

These Fire Extinguishers contain Halotron, a clean, non-conductive gaseous agent that is an excellent replacement for Halon 1211 extinguishers. Halotron is suitable for use on Class A*, Class B, and Class C fires.

Halotron™ I clean agent fire extinguishing agent discharges as a rapidly evaporating liquid, which is non-conductive, non-corrosive, and leaves behind no residue. Halotron™ I is the clean agent fire extinguisher market leader with a history of successful real-world protection of valuable assets. From model scale aircraft to wide-body commercial aircraft, from data centers to pharmaceutical and other industrial plants, the Halotron™ I agent has been used to extinguish the fire, limit damage and help reduce downtime that can be caused by other agents.

Why Choose Halotron™ I Clean Agent Fire Extinguishers?

  • Non-conductive, non-corrosive: A Halotron fire extinguisher is ideal for electrical fires and environments with sensitive equipment.
  • Environmentally Friendly: The Halotron™ I clean agent has been determined to be the most environmentally beneficial halocarbon agent on the market today that meets wide performance standards. Low ozone-depleting and global warming potential, making it a more sustainable option.
  • Versatile Applications: Ideal applications for these clean agent fire extinguishers include data centers, laboratories, manufacturing plants, general office areas, computer rooms, telecommunication facilities, clean rooms, control rooms, warehouses, military electronics, vehicles including classic autos, boats, engine compartments, aircraft ramps, onboard aircraft and in facilities that service aircraft and any facility where dry chemical extinguishers could cause unacceptable damage or contamination.
  • No Residue: The clean agent fire extinguisher ensures minimal cleanup and damage to assets.

What types of fires can it extinguish?

  • Class A:  Only models 4137 (11 lb.) and 4139 (15.5 lb.) are rated for ordinary combustibles like wood, paper, cloth, rubber, and many plastics.
  • Class B: Effective on flammable liquids and gases.
  • Class C: Safe for use on electrical fires.
Fire Extinguisher Classes*Note: Only 4137 (11 lb.) and 4139 (15.5 lb.) have Class A rating.

Where is this fire extinguisher best used?

  • Sensitive Environments: Such as data centers, laboratories, manufacturing plants, research facilities, and areas with sensitive electronic equipment.
  • General Areas: Offices, classrooms, churches, hotels, retail stores, auto dealerships, parking garages, and hotel/ motel assembly halls and guest areas.
  • Specific Uses: Protecting electronic equipment and in processes like painting, dipping, and coating.
